Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman is the Distinguished Professor of Psychology as well as director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. She is the one who initiated the modern study of children's memory of eyewitnesses and the use of child victims when in court. Professor Goodman is a prolific author, has won numerous prizes and grants. She has advised a variety of government organizations and government agencies throughout the world regarding policies and studies related to treatment of child victims by the justice system. She is consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a former member of numerous professional associations for example, the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman is also a member of the Psychonomics Society, the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of America Psychological Association's Developmental Division as well as Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family policy and practice.
