Anoushka Shankar
Anoushka is a British-American musician and sitarist. She was awarded the British House of Commons' Shield in the year of her youngest and also the first female recipient. Alongside nine Grammy nominations, she was also the very first Indian-origin musician to perform during the ceremony live. Anoushka Sitar Shankar was the Indian young sitar singer. She is the student of Ravi Shankar, and the daughter. She was born in London in 1982. She spent her early years shuttling to London as well as New Delhi. The first time she performed was in New Delhi when she was thirteen years old. Then she relocated to Encinitas CA where she graduated from High School with honours in 1999. Anouskha, who is only a teenager, has had an extremely successful recording and performing career. She has been performing with her father in the stage for a long time. In 1998, she released Anourag as her first solo record. It was followed by the album Live At Carnegie Hall, a Grammy-nominated album a year following. The stage work she has done is broad as she's been in every one of the biggest venues in the world. Anoushka Shankar's career is not only limited to the music industry.
