Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn, an American actress. Her most famous role is Skyler White in her role on the AMC Drama Breaking Bad, for which she won the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 as well as 2014 for Outstanding Supporting Actress in the Drama Series. She played Jean Ward and Martha Bullock and Martha Bullock, respectively, on The Practice. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in 1968. Her passion for acting at Preparatory school prior to moving to Ohio with her family in the late 1970s. She went to Northwestern University to study theatre and was also a student at the British American Drama Academy. Anna had a brief stint performing in Chicago theatre before moving on to film and TV roles. In 1992, Anna landed her first big part in the role of Arden in the series of 29 episodes Down the Shore. Following her appearance as a Guest on several TV shows and films, such as Seinfeld and NYPD Blue in the 90's, she was cast as Jean Ward as part of The Practice. The role was played by Martha Bullock in Deadwood for two seasons in the late 2000s. Skyler was her role as Martha Bullock in Breaking Bad. Sully was one of her roles. Gunn has also appeared on the stage in a David Schwimmer-directed production of Sex With Strangers. She also had a role in the show Numbered Day, which is a podcast consisting of four audio-based plays. Breaking Bad revolves around Walter White's relationship with Skyler. Walter White's life tale and the tension in the relationship he has with Skyler can be seen in the show.
